The aluminum housing pulls heat away from the board and keeps the Pi 5 cool without a fan, so it runs silently. The case also looks good sitting on a desk, shelf, or TV stand.
The Raspberry Pi 5 is the fastest Raspberry Pi yet, with a quad-core 2.4 GHz Arm Cortex-A76 CPU and a VideoCore VII GPU. The 2GB model is a good balance of price and capability. It handles the Raspberry Pi OS desktop comfortably for everyday tasks like light browsing, document editing, and coding, and it has the headroom for lightweight servers and media playback.
The kit also includes a 27W USB-C PD power supply, a 64GB SanDisk microSD card pre-loaded with Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit), a card reader, and a micro-HDMI cable. Plug it into a monitor or TV, add a keyboard and mouse, and you're ready to go.
